Our Historic Building

The Parish of Christ Church is the second church designed by architect Ralph Adams Cram, who also designed the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York, and All Saints Parish in Dorchester.

Wade Zahares 1987 painting

This painting of Christ Church currently hangs in Father John’s office. It was painted in 1987 by artist Wade Zahares, formerly of Boston, who now resides in West Kennebunk, Maine.

He created many other works of art depicting neighborhoods and historic structures. Several of his paintings are now in the Hyde Park Branch of the Boston Public Library.

He has illustrated numerous books, including Window Music the New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book of 1998, and has a website athttp://www.zahares.com
